Where Magic Meets the Mat: 3 Reasons I Love Our Three Birds Yoga Retreats

As I sit at my desk reflecting on past retreats, I can’t help but feel grateful for the special moments that make each one so meaningful. At Three Birds Yoga Studio, alongside my wonderful partner, Christina, we've crafted retreats that blend peace, connection, and personal growth. Here are my top three favorite things about our yoga getaways:


Transformation Through Rest

There's something incredible about witnessing the shift from exhaustion to rejuvenation. When our retreat guests first arrive, they often carry the weight of daily life. But by the time we say our goodbyes, they radiate a calm energy, their stress replaced by a deeper sense of peace and clarity. Watching this transformation is one of the most rewarding parts of hosting these retreats. It’s a reminder that rest, in the right environment, is profoundly healing.


Building Genuine Connections

Beyond the yoga practice, retreats offer a chance to build meaningful relationships. Strangers quickly become friends as they share stories, laughter, and moments of reflection. The bonds formed on these retreats often last far beyond our time together, and it’s truly special to see how a supportive community comes to life in such a short time. Witnessing this connection and care grow among our retreat participants is one of my favorite things


The Excitement of New Destinations

Our upcoming retreat in Tulum, Mexico, marks a new adventure for us—it’s our first international trip! I’m thrilled to take our retreat experience to a breathtaking beachfront setting, where we’ll practice yoga with the sound of ocean waves in the background and explore the magic of Tulum together. Traveling to a new location adds a layer of excitement and adventure, and I know that alongside the fun of exploring Tulum, the heart of our retreats—connection, relaxation, and personal growth—will shine through.


As I reflect on these retreats, I’m reminded of the joy they bring—not just to our guests, but to me as well. I look forward to many more adventures, shared laughter, and moments of stillness on the mat. Here's to creating more memories together.
